changing monitors

Yes. YMMV, but here is the SxS for changing monitors:

* Unplug existing monitor from the wall power outlet
* Unscrew and unplug the existing monitor from the back of the computer
* Move the existing monitor (optional)
* Situate the new monitor to your liking
* Plug the power cable from the monitor to the wall-jack
* Plug the monitor cable into the back of the computer (the connect has 15
pins in 3 rows, inside a D-shaped connector)
voila! :)

Now if you want to change your X-server resolution and have Caldera 3.1.x,
start kxconfig and adjust as necessary.
If you have any other distro, sorry. Good luck. You might try pissing up
a rope (no offense to you), it'll produce similar results if you don't
learn and know the format for the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file (for X4.x) or
/etc/XF86Config (for X3.x). This is one key reason I still run Caldera.

I hope I didn't offend you. Just venting.
