I don't know if I dare get in this battle, but I'm very pleased with
COL3.1.1.

I know there are those who dislike it, but it does what I want very nicely
in many varied situations and very varied hardware.  It is slim, stable,
and most of the things work well out of the box.  All distros have that
"distance to go," but I still rate COL3.1.1 among the closest.  I have a
hard time saying it because I'm not real impressed with the management of
Caldera, but their 3.1.1 was very decent.
