there should be an error in the dhcp server log about dulpicated leases.
then it will geenrate another one to avoid that. it's no different from
assigning the same ip to 2 lan cards at your linux servers.
Yuo assumed that comcast wants to maintain a fault-tolerate dhcp server.
I doubt that.... esp for home users.
