A user on the xfce group pointed out this browser as an alternative to
galeon.  Like galeon, it uses the mozilla/gecko engine, but it doesn't
require gnome.  As a result it requires about 25% less memory
resources.  It does provide good tabbed window support.  It's a little
slower at page rendering than galeon, however.  It also appears to be
a moving target, i.e. under heavy development.
