USB-Storage issue

So I traded in the USB device for a different model/manufacturer.  A
Dazzle ZiO, SD/MMC reader.  

After a fashion I can now mount the little devil and have added a nice
tty and file manager to my Zaurus.  Its really nice to have a command
line on this thing.
