it should be noted that lnm is merely a member, one of five sites 
sharing what amounts to a common table of contents. sure, we're 
excited about it and would love people to take a look, and in that 
sense it's advertising. but we wouldn't have done it if we didn't 
think, too, that it might save people some time. and the reason i 
said "beat the rush" is that we expected it would show up on /. and 
elsewhere, as it has.
