What all do you need to replace? e-mail, calendaring, virii, ???

For the mail server, I suggest sendmail, for the client, Sylpheed, and for
the calendaring, WebCalendar (requires Apache w/SQL server, I suggest
Postgres, PHP, mod_ssl).

Can only suggest the honor system to simulate virus problems. ;-)

Open Office doesn't have this, but Star Office supposedly does.

Quasar (http://linuxcanada.com/) or MyBooks (http://appgen.com/)

There's also sql-ledger (uses Apache w/ Perl, Postgres)

KDE has palm pilot syncing tools. Haven't used them because I don't have
a PP, but I understand they work just fine.
