I found that my virtual screen is always set to the highest resolution.
When I use 1280x1160 (or whatever it is) everything fits on the screen,
but the lower resolutions, (1024x768 and 800x600) are larger than the
screen, causing scrolling. I'm trying to use 3 resolutions, and I'm
using Gnome. Xfce behaves the same.
