  Just finished getting a AST P series, MMX P I 150, up and running
with pcmcia.  It took 4 cards to finally get one to take. The 
CE56/10/100 credit card from Xircom qorks well. Tried a D-Link,
Link-Sys, and a  Xircom credit card 10/100. I do not like their setup
as they do a code folding auto detect card type. I found that there is
a setting in network.opts file where you set ip address & etc, the setting 
that tells the system what type of cable connect IF_PORT=. Set to auto.
