It works, but you have to enable it via the sound server dialog. Be
alert... if you do set it to remove when idle and you are also removing
unused modules via cron... I manage a few boxes where once the artsd dies,
and cron clears dead modules (sound)... I have to go and modprobe the
sound drivers before artsd will run again...

Unless you really, really need non-artsd operations, just let artsd stay
loaded and upgrade everything else...
