Sharing Windows 98 files with Samba-lite under VMware 3.1.1 and RH 7.2

Ahh!! as I am doing a total roll-my-own rebuild of Caldera 3.1.1 I have done 
another install last night of the OS so vmware is not setup at the moment so 
that file will be useless to you. Sorry about that, just remembered. However 
if you do the setup the is no reason why you should not see the host files. 
That is unless you are making the wrong choices.

Are you using 3.0 ?
Do you have a full licence ?
When making the initial install of vmware, what networking are you choosing.
Also you are trying to use samba itself to setup the net whilst i use the 
vmware system to setup the network. At no time do i use samba other than what 
vmware does to samba.
