kde-3.0.1 build

I have one last request for help with my compile of kde-3.0.1 and it has to 
do with kdemultimedia. I have compiled it for now but it has an exclusion at 
the end of the configure:

Ogg Vorbis support was not found.
a KFile-plugin for displaying Ogg Vorbis Information
has been disabled from compilation.

I have tried installing what I can find re vorbis, but it still is no go. So 
what do others have and where, so as i can see if what i do have is in the 
right place. Or if you have an install that I have misssed or not found.
I did compile the ogg vorbis plugin and install it from kdemultimedia but no 
go either.
