None whatsoever after seting up the ethn for dhcp. My box has two
NICs and the installer wants to recognize the NIC I have connected to
my lan as eth1 rather than eth0. Once I complete the install and boot
using my own kernel, my lan NIC is recognized as eth0. Go figure.

Now gentoo did make a change with rsync a month or so back. Their
main rsync server was getting swamped with requests, so they
instituted a series of mirrors. Maybe they didn't make this change in
the ISOs? It's a simple change, if that's what's missing.

go to
http://fireserver.ath.cx/gentoo/search/index.html
and search for rsync and mirrors to find the configuration item that
must be changed.

Let me know if this helps.
