It virtuall needs the base system upgrading just to start with, and as for kde
its now 3 iterations behind. I installed it and started to upgrade but the
job was just too big and the install was not as good as the 2.4.
So being that I am a masochist at heart and the girl friend gave me a Helium
baloon and a bag of 'plaster of Paris' just to keep my end up, I decide to
take deps' suggestion and do a 2.4 complete update, using the original disk.
Installs the lot and write it back to a disk.
