gcombust and cdrecord

I have tried using gcombust, and it looks good, but I have been having
a lot of trouble with burning with gcombust or xcdroast.

In teh cdrecord output window of gcombust, I get the following error:

/usr/bin/cdrecord: Input/output error. read track info: scsi sendcmd:
no error
CDB: 52 01 00 00 00 FF 00 00 1C 00
status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION)

Sense Key: 0x5 Illegal Request, Segment 0
Sense Code: 0x24 Qual 0x00 (invalid field in cdb) Fru 0x0
Sense flags: Blk 0 (not valid)
cmd finished after 0.002s timeout 240s
/usr/bin/cdrecord: fifo had 64 puts and 0 gets.
/usr/bin/cdrecord: fifo was 0 times empty and 0 times full, min fill
was 100%.

Not knowing what the above, means, I feel that since neither frontend
works correctly, my problem must be with cdrecord.

Also, I opened Package Manager to see the list of files used by
cdrecord, and when clicking on the File List tab, I get a pop up window
titled "File Attribute Differences" and lists .M..... /usr/bin/cdrecord
in the window. (Enlarging the window doesn't expand the .M..... info).

I did a cdrecord -scanbus, and it sees both my scsi emulated drives on
scsibus0.
I am using cdrecord version 1.11a05 by the way.

What does anyone see wrong here? Is the a conf file that I need to
check?

TIA

Harry G
