uname -r gives me 2.4.19 (I know it's a prerelease of sorts, but I've
not noticed).  That's the kernel that came first on my Gentoo box a
month ago, and it's got XFS built right in.  Just because Gentoo doesn't
officially release the XFS patches built in with everything else doesn't
mean no one else hasn't.  Check out Gentoo-Users from sometime in the
last month for one of those XFS patches.
