The only thing to watch with the CLIE is that it will pick whichever 
/dev/ttyUSB entry it feels like, apparently somewhat at random.  Other 
Palm-compatible devices generally use ttyUSB1 for syncing.  Any recent kernel 
will support all these devices, but I'd still check the pilot-link site to 
see if they support the device you're looking at.  Otherwise there's really 
no point.
