Umm how do you get all those uptime/kernel/shoe size stat's at the bottom of your emails...

My method is probably a lot more complex than most... but I run a rexx
script via cron every 5 minutes on my home server that runs uptime. The
output of uptime is filtered and added with other text to finally create a
sigfile on the root directory on the server. All the email clients I run
access this sigfile via the usual resource from where ever I log in from.
Works quite well. 

If you'd like a copy, I'll tar it up for you and add in object rexx from
IBM. Just ask.
