Walmart selling PCs without the O/S

Anybody see the article on Newsforge this morning about Walmart PCs being sold 
without the O/S. The guy who wrote the article said that Mandrake 8.1 
installed fine, except for the Winmodem.
They apparently use a Microstar mobo.

At first glance, it looks like you can get a good bang for your buck with 'em.
