htdig and htsearch

I sovled my htdig problem related to https:// by using 2 different 
config files for htdig and htsearch. But I would like to make htsearch 
to return results that use relative paths rather than absolute path. How 
  to do that? By modifying the short.html and long.html in htdig's data 
directory? Or was there a .conf setting to do it?
