RPM annoyance

I can't tell you how to fix this, but I have had the same problem with 
checkinstall on my LinuxfromScratch system.  It seems to happen only when the 
required file is many levels deep.  It say the xxx file doesn't exist but 
when I looked there it was.

This last happened with guile 1.4
