Yup... and it sucks.
Here's my $0.02 worth...
KDE 3.0.0 compiled using the objprelink switch, runs as fast as kde 2.2.1
compiled without the objprelink switch. KDE 2.2.2 compiled using the
objprelink switch runs "nearly" as fast as kde 1.1.2 as supplied with
ed240.
Therefore, KDE 3.0 is the mother of all pigs... pretty... but very
meaty...
The sweet spot, without a doubt, is KDE 2.2.2 using objprelink.
