Opinions on the "enlightenment" window manager

Recently I became aware of the "Enlightenment" window manager.  I 
first got interested after seeing a screenshot of a neat transparency 
effect which I find very attractive. 

I was wondering if anyone had experience using it, and what their 
thoughts are.  Also if other environments provide a similar 
transparency effect. 

Apparently the version they are now working on is going to be 
incompatible with all the existing themes.. and there appears to be a 
lot of those themes out there.
