iptables to limit no. of connection per domain

I just wanted to enable evverything since I had nothing to lose. THen I
got looking for examples of using them. It certainly was not as simple
as I thought...

/usr (/usr/src) and / (/tmp) are on separate partitions
What should I do to avoid the error? soft link?

nah.. to be safe, I will use a fresh copy of kernel-2.4.18 and try
again. best for newbies...
