avifile make problem

Yes I am using MPlayer , however I need avifile for NVrec and Dvd::Rip as they 
will not compile without libaviplay. Tried to install libaviplay itself but 
that horked too. There seems to be quite a bit of bad code around as I have a 
real problem with the Debian Linuxvideostudio as well.

However i am very near having all installed that I want. Need a front end to 
MjpegTools though and that Linuxvideostudio.
