sound on kde3

There were blurbs on a kde newsgroup about this today (comp.os.x.kde??? 
something like that -- I don't have newsgroups at home, just at work)

You also might find something at dot.kde.org, I think there were mentions of 
this there. Did you use Mandrake RPMs?
