css as a better <pre> replacement

CSS is definitely the way to go. However ... if you use CSS-2 markups,
only Netscrape 6.x (I have _no_ clue about IE) can read them.  For
example, if you do:

p.copyright:after { content: "Copyright? 1999-2002 Pananix, SA, All Rights
Reserved." }

as I have on my site, using NS6, no problem, using NS4.x, you don't see
the copyright tag.
