bind question

Hi,

I'm running a bind caching server.  The problem is when I do an ndc dumpdb then check the dump file, it's empty.  Is there a step-by-step way I can verify that I am properly caching dns resloves?  My windows box points to my COL server for name resolution and it works fine.  But I don't know if it's caching.  One test I have done is something like 'dig www.website.com'.  The first time I run it, it might take a second or two, but the second time it only take between 180 and 255ms.  But I don't know if that tells me what I need to know.  Any help would be appreciated.
