Its not scary.  In fact its a very safe process as long as you follow
the instructions, which can be found at the Step-by-step website (in my
sig) in the KERNEL section.

Yes.  In fact, you don't have to 'save' it, you just shouldn't delete
it, and you'll be fine.

OK.  Well, if you're using xcdroast, then the command should be, quite
simply, 'xcdroast'.  That way, standard error will appear in the
terminal window, rather than being shunted to /dev/null.
