February was a very interesting month over at the StepByStep website. The
linux.nf domain was unroutable for a majority of the month, prompting us to
register our new domain at linux-sxs.org. All subsequent web content, mailing
lists, and newsgroups were subsequently moved to the new domain as well. You
can find out news server at news.linux-sxs.org now, and our mailing lists are
at http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/. Please everyone update all
your references from the old domain (linux.nf) to the new one (linux-sxs.org).
February also saw the launch of our new job board! We went live with
http://jobs.linux-sxs.org on the 18th and already have over 1245 jobs and 612
resumes in the system! The site specializes in employment opportunites in the
Linux, Unix, and Embedded marketspaces. Job seekers can even elect to sign up
for our new jobs list so they are notified of each new position on the site.
February also the addition of a new format for the offline copies of the
site. You can now download the entire site in either HTML or PDF format The
PDF format is now generated nightly and available from the 'offline copies'
link on the main page. The PDF version also includes the images and diagrams
used in the howtos.
