My Quantum Atlas (18GB) died within 3 months of use (could not spin up).
~ My advice is to get all your data off that and buy yourself a Seagate
ASAP. Preferably one of the older ones. My refurbished 18GB Seagate SCSI
drive is still running, even though the warranty has already expired on
that.
