Gentoo QuickInstall Guide!

Wow!  While looking for the "X-HOWTO" docs I just happened upon the 
Gentoo Quick-Install guide (for x86 in this case):

This makes the initial installation much easier to get a hold of (ie.
doesn't seem quite so daunting).  This gives a brief overview of the
process itself.  The Documentation gives an amazing amount of knowledge,
but can seem overwhelming without a summary (at least for us ADD folken).

This does not make me a Gentoo-lover yet.  But it definitely adds to the
experience.  I now have functional KDE environment, albeit at 640x480.

Is there a graphical front-end for emerge?  (or is it Konqueror pointed
at /var/tmp/portage ?)
