'vi' is driving me crazy

Rubbish - learn it or use something else. Noone is saying you must use vi.
But dont expect those of us that use vi to be swayed by anything you have
to say about its faults. All software has faults - some people are not
bothered by them and others are. You wanna change it, go write something
better.
