'vi' is driving me crazy

Who said vi was written at a time when there were guidelines for this kind
of stuff? Hell, serial terminals didn't have cursor keys when vi was
written. Those of us that use vi frequently, remember the keypresses by
their association with words like "append", "insert", "yank", "delete",
"write" (And if you think "write" is a stretch then maybe "chmod" and "ls"
should be changed too).
Im not making apologies for vi nor am I condemning it for being what it
is - an old text editor written by programmers for programmers. Use
something else if you hate it so much.
