'vi' is driving me crazy

I have learned vi. I know at least enough of it to do basic editing.

I'm aware of all the rationalizations for learning vi. It's why I did so.

But now that I know a tool that is *widespread*, I'd now like to get my 
hands on one that is *productive*. Or at least one that doesn't break 
every HI/UI guideline in the book.

nano and pico are no better than vi. One arcane tool is enough.
