Merry Christmas from Detroit.  We got the edge of that big storm that 
swept through south and east of here, and have about 6" of snow.  But, 
it's all shoveled by now and has not had enough time to get slushy and 
dirty, so it is indeed a white Christmas.  One of the nice things about 
being on the Canadian border is that we get CBC radio crisp and clear.  
Right now, listening to Christmas music from the Church of St. Andrew and 
St. Paul in Montreal.  Extended family will arrive soon and leg of lamb 
will be cooking.  Sometimes, all seems right.
