Something to keep in mind is batteries. If you go with the AA batteries, 
you will always be able to run to the corner store and pick up a few for 
emergencies. With the proprietory types, you never know, and will want 
to have an extra at all times. I have a Fuji which takes good pics, and 
uses AA batteries. I bought 2 sets of rechargables. I keep one in the 
camera, one in the charger. That's a cheap way to go.
