Very likely.  All my apps were accessing database backends.  While I
don't know (don't remember actually) if that was the problem, it sure
was a pain.  But the v3->v4 took place a couple of years ago, so I'd
hope the authors would have ironed out all the problems with versioning
by now. In fact, I'm surprised you have a php3 app deployed so recently.
