Well, I think we are both right. I have an older version, and a new one.

 From the gnoppix website:

*Gnoppix* is a linux live cd based upon Ubuntu Linux 
<http://www.ubuntulinux.org/>. It can be compared to Knoppix 
<http://www.knoppix.de/> but GNOPPIX <http://www.gnoppix.org/> uses 
GNOME <http://www.gnome.org/> as desktop environment.
