Ubuntu CD's for Free

IINM, Ubuntu is a Debian offchute? (or am I thinking of Mepis, or both?)
They believe all software should be free-of-charge... They aren't kidding!
They do say their distro is for Desktops/workstations and servers.
I ordered 18 cd's :) 10 Intel, 3 PowerPC, and 5 AMD/64
