I've used J-Pilot before, and it's definitely reliable.  The advantage of G|K 
Pilot is integration with nicer PIM apps than what J-Pilot provides.  Also, 
last time I used J-Pilot there was a two-step dance where you had to sync at 
both ends for it to work.  That's not the case with the other two.  I should 
note that it's been long enough that the J-Pilot folks may well have fixed 
that while I wasn't looking.
