out by purchasing a desk, a typewriter, an answering machine, and a 2-line <br>
phone. Not even a computer.<br>

This was before PCs, before cell phones, before internet, before local <br>
area networks, before laser printers, before CDs, before most floppy <br>
disks. Before digital photographs. Before Microsoft licensed MS-DOS to <br>
IBM. (After punch cards and paper tape and data storage on audio <br>
cassettes.)<br>
<br>
So many memories. So many generations of computer hardware. So many <br>
operating systems, computer languages, best practices, buzz words, <br>
international character sets. So many customers helped, products <br>
developed, products abandoned, products reinvented. So many trade shows <br>
and exhibitions and articles and presentations. So many times trying <br>
to explain what our software was and did. A dozen or so employees, for <br>
whom I'm grateful. Three offices. One loan.<br>

I tend to get lost in the memories...<br>
