Okay, I stand corrected. Apparently my reading comprehension was down 40
points earlier today. :b~~~ I misread/mis-thought the 'prior to'. That's
entirely on me, and I don't even have a good excuse unless I plead poor
sleep (which is true, but still...).
Fair enough, and complaint retracted.
Thanks for pointing out my mistake.

Mark,
Supporting 5.8 and 5.7 is two major versions back, not one.
5.7 was released in May of 2011
5.8 was released in February of 2015
When 5.8 was released we prominently announced in emails and posted on
our website that 5.6 and older versions would no longer be supported.
None of this is unreasonable or unusual IMHO

Contact [1]sales@fptech.com for an upgrade quote if you have not yet taken
advantage of all the new features in 5.8 and remember that any version
prior to 5.7 is no longer supported.
And in the, "Making people even less likely to buy in," area, we have this
gem.
Even Microsoft supports a few major versions back. fP-Tech apparently no
longer supports even one major version back.
Why would anyone voluntarily buy into a product which they know the vendor
will shaft them on at the next release? I actually gave it a moment's
thought, until I read that little morsel of unwholesomeness.
At this rate, why not just go full-on evil, and adopt the Adobe CC model?
