</div></div>Because it's not a termcap issue, per se. It's an stty issue. Put this<br>
in your profile(s) or the global /etc/profile (and any other shell startup<br>
scripts, like tcshrc):<br>

stty erase "^H"<br>
<br>
Set your PuTTY to ^H.<br>
<br>
Log in.<br>
<br>
Done.<br>
