Jim, thanks much!<br>
<br>
Just beginning my experience with Windows 7.<br>
<br>
I have 3 computers running XP Pro and one computer running Widows 7
Pro, networked together <br>
<br>
HP 970Cse Desk Jet<br>
kXP-2124 Panasonic dot matrix<br>
both connected using USB* to a desktop running XP Pro<br>
<br>
HP 4050 Laser Jet <br>
connected by USB* to a laptop running XP Pro <br>
<br>
*(the 2124 and 4050 are parallel using a Parallel to USB wire to
connect to USB port)<br>
<br>
The three XP computers recognize and print to all three printers. <br>
The new laptop running W7 connected by network running Windows 7 Pro
instanly saw the KXP-2124 and the 970Cse, found drivers and will
print to them over the network. <br>
<br>
It will not find drivers and connect to the 4050..<br>
<br>
The 4050 will be only 13 years old in January 2013. The 970 and
2124 are dirt age older than the 4050. <br>
<br>
Why won't W7 recognize the 4050? <br>
<br>
