Thanks to all for the responses. I know it old, I know its not supported yada yada. I have all new servers and software etc. Just have a need to leave an old SCO server up and accessible for several reasons.<br><br>Ken's response was what I meant. It amazes me that you can run a virtual machine with xp mode ON WIN 7 and access the shares, yet not be able to do it on WIN 7 itself.<br>
<br>The SCO server is accessible thru visionfs and the Linux servers are SAMBA.<br><br>WIN7 sees only the linux servers, XP Mode sees both.<br><br>WIN7 asks for a username and password, so it must detect the server, just rejects it.<br>

FWIW, Ken, I have the same situation. I seem to remember that there is<br>
some piece of code from MS that can be installed on XP to make it work<br>
better (or at all) with Vista/7 networking.<br>
