First of all have a great time on the safari. Someday I'd like to travel to Afica.

I have read about the Slate and it seemed to be reviewed as the best of the Windows tablets. I just heard earlier this week that HP will be bringing out there new Windows tablet in June of this year. I believe it will have a 9 1/2 inch screen.

To all others who commented I should have been clearer. I want to tablet to have filepro resident on the machine and not to access filepro as a terminal.

Thank you,

It's a full Windows 7 PC, with solid
state drive and support for both stylus and multi-touch. It has a USB port
as well as bluetooth and wifi, but no cell modem. You can connect external
keyboard, mouse, etc. When in its included docking stand it has HDMI
output for a monitor, and a couple more USB ports.

The biggest negative I've found is that the floating keyboard doesn't move
itself out of the way. I'm spoiled by how well the iPad does that.
Second
on my CON list is that many Windows controls are too small to use finger
touch efectively, so the stylus is frequently necessary.

One of these days I'll post a video about it, but right now I'm heading
for a photo safari in South Africa.

On Thu, 10 Feb 2011, Richard Hane wrote:

> Good Afternoon group,
>
> I am getting the itch to waste some of my money and purchase a tablet.
