I'm not sure about SCO ... but with Linux when I hit a situation like
this I'm more likely to virtualize the old machine and continue using

Hardware is very cheap. Why don't you just get an inexpensive used
computer and reinstall the SCO and filePro 5.0.14 on it?
The development systems I have running at most of my customer sites are
typically low-cost desktop machines with a couple of IDE drives in them.
I like it when I find used machines that are rock-solid that people are
throwing out. In particular, I like to find older machines with Intel GB850
series motherboards that use RIMM style memory. The RIMM memory sticks are
so expensive that most of these machines can't economically be upgraded to
more than 1 GIG of RAM, so my customers are throwing them out prematurely.
I put new power supplies and fans in them, clean them up, install a
brand new IDE drive as the main drive and leave the old IDE drive in it as a
backup drive and then use these as development machines. I bet they will
run reliably for at least 10 years at a cost of less than $100.00 in parts
and labor.
