I have a client running filepro 5.0.14RN9 for IUA. There are users in
house as well as those that connect remotely. All users create extra
data, key and index files and they get left on the system. None of them
are as large as the main file but range around 1MB each. I just
discovered over 1800 of these files in one directory.
1. Can they be deleted?
2. What causes them?
3. Is there a safe way to have them clean themselves up?

Is this Windows or *nix?

You can clean up the key, data, and indexes with:
/appl/fp/ddir filename -K -M qualifier

Sounds to me like the applications is creating a qualifier in this file
for each user.
If you did not write this, you may have some investigating to do.

Need more information about the OS, the file, and the function of the
file that gets these extra keys etc.
