Can you not see the old values by doing an hw command? Run the entire hw
into a file....
Hw >/tmp/file
And then grep through for something significant about the device.
In no joy circumstances, perhaps, you could load a much older copy of unix
at the boot prompt by doing a dir to see the names of available old unix
loads.... pick one and type that in.
You will have to go into Single user mode since loading all the run-level 2
network drivers and everything else will cause error after error to dump on
to the monitor, preventing you from doing much at all.
Once in single user, dump the new hw output into a file and check it. The
old values that were employed to build the current running kernel should be
in there.
